Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the Webb Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Bristow and Steve Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Webb Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 70, Webb, AL 36376.
Mr. Buie was a lifelong resident of Webb, son of the late Malcolm Walter Buie and Ressie Corilla Brackin Buie. He was a member of the Webb Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and also as treasurer 38 years. Mr. Buie was an active participant in the Webb Senior Citizens. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Helen Whitten Buie; a daughter, Jane Rhoades, and her husband, Joe Rhoades; a sister, Betty Ivey, and her husband, Ivan Ivey; a brother, Byrd Buie and his wife, Cindy Buie, all of Webb; two granddaughters, Angela Ingram and Brenda Hallford; three great-grandchildren, Jessica McCullough, Blake Hallford and Anna Marie McCullough.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Stanley Nowell, Glenn Dickerson, Larry Phillips, Kenneth Kirkland, Ray Cobb and Mike Strowd.
Holman-Headland Mortuary, (334) 693-3371, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Buie has been a long time friend who always could make you laugh. He'll be missed by many including our family. And he enjoyed his ice cream with us often.
