Robert "Bob" Davis

Mr. Robert "Bob" Davis of Dothan passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at the age of 87.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Cloverdale United Methodist Church with Revered Ernie Gray officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Davis was born February 7, 1936, to the late Glen Davis and Myrtle Lou Wise Davis of Opp, Alabama. Mr. Davis retired from Sears, as the manager of the Automotive Center. After retiring, he was a realtor with James Grant Realty. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a native of Opp. Alabama and was a 1954 graduate of Opp High School. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was an active, dedicated member of Cloverdale United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Patsy Bonner Davis of Dothan, AL; daughters, Joanna Davis Amunds (Don) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Alison Davis Davies (Frank) of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Mary Hudson of Grass Valley, CA, Shirley Moody (Jerry) of Medina, OH; brother, Arthur Glen Davis of Eufaula, AL; grandchildren, Scott Sapp (Susan) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Robert Amunds of Dothan, AL, Wesley Davies and Patrick Davies of Birmingham, AL; great-grandchildren, Tucker Sapp and Claire Sapp of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and a special adopted granddaughter, Alyson Shelley Burkhardt.
