RONALD JAMES WALSH

Ronald James Walsh Ronald James "Ronny" Walsh of Dothan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Farley Nuclear Plant after suffering from injuries received during the high winds. He was 49. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise with Dr. Brent Parker and Dr. Mack Amis officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise on Tuesday from 6 until 8pm. The body will be placed into the church on Wednesday 1 hour before service time. Flowers will be accepted or donations could be made in his memory to the Selma Baptist Church building fund, 3255 South Park Ave, Dothan, AL 36301 or Rehobeth High School Band, 373 Malvern Rd, Dothan, AL 36301 Ronny was born July 4, 1963 in Dothan, AL to Charles Thomas and Ruby Hazel Ethridge Walsh. He was a member of the Selma Baptist Church. He was presently working with Security at the Farley Nuclear Plant and had worked previously as a police officer with the City of Enterprise as well as the City of Dothan. He felt his calling to be a servant as well as protecting. He had also worked with the Auburn Rescue Squad for several years. He was a loving son, husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Melanie Brown Walsh, Dothan, a daughter: Ashton Walsh, a son: Matthew Walsh both of Dothan, AL, parents: Charles and Hazel Walsh, Enterprise, AL, 2 brothers: Michael Walsh (Karen), Greenwood, Indiana, Jeffrey Walsh (Renee), Eufaula, AL, mother-in-law: Mary Barefoot and the late Thomas W.
