Savada Blumberg Obituary
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark with the Rev. Terriel Andrews officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Blumberg was born June 23, 1930, near Bell's Crossroads in Dale County and graduated from Dale County High School in 1948. She lived most of her life in Illinois and Florida before moving to Dothan in 2001.
Ms. Blumberg was preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Vadie Newsome Bell; two brothers, Coolidge Bell and Joe Bell; and by a special cousin, Ina Tew.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Benson and his wife, Wenda, Dothan, Ricky Blumberg and his wife, Sheri, Atlanta; one daughter, Vicki Muratore, and her husband, Larry, Atlanta; six grandchildren, Cheri, Bryan, Heather, Libby, Nick and Alex; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Bell, Dothan, and Janice Bell, Old Town, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

I recall Savada visiting at my mom's (Ina Tew's) house on sevaral occasions. I'm glad they kept each other company in their later years.
