Thomas Gallagher Obituary
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church with the Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Right to Life Foundation, 512 10th St., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004.
Mr. Gallagher was born in Bronx, N.Y., on Aug. 13, 1944, and was raised in Brewster, N.Y., where he graduated high school. After graduation from Fairfield College with a history degree, he spent eight years in the Air Force. He spent over 30 years in the insurance industry and lived in several parts of the United States. Mr. Gallagher moved to Dothan in 2004 upon his retirement and was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.
Mr. Gallagher was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gallagher Sr.; his mother, Marjorie Gallagher; and a grandson, Matthew Joseph Stiles.
Survivors include his wife, Carlene C. Gallagher, Dothan; daughters, Sheila (Ray) Taylor, Dothan, Donna (David) May, Valley; his sons, Charles (Joann) Cullins, Mapleton, Maine, Morgan C. Paradis, Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Dennis (Robin) Gallagher; his niece, Gillian Gallagher; his nephew, Grant Gallagher all of Boonton, N.J. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special friends also survive.
