Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Charles W. Price, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 603 Peachtree Street, Headland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Headland United Methodist Church Building Fund, 103 W. King Street, Headland, AL. 36345 or to Covenant Hospice, 2855 Ross Clark Circle, Suite 110, Dothan, AL. 36301.
Mr. Trawick was born and reared in the Center Community of Henry County, son of the late Robert David John Trawick and Mary Frances Grantham Trawick. He served his country in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Trawick lived near Columbia many years before moving to Headland in 1966. He was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church and was a former member of the James Penn Masonic Lodge in the Clopton Community. Mr. Trawick was retired as a foreman from Couch, Inc. in Dothan. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Brannon and Lizzie Brannon, four brothers, Gordon Trawick, Taylor Trawick, Tom Trawick and Bunyon Trawick.
Surviving relatives include his wife of seventy years, Rose Snell Trawick, a resident of the Dogwood Manor Assisted Living in Abbeville; a daughter, Shirley T. Clark and her husband, B. Scott Clark, Quincy, Fla.; two sons, Thyle Trawick and his wife, Linda Trawick, Douglasville,Ga.; John R. (Bob) Trawick and his wife, Janey Trawick, Camden, Ark.; four grandchildren, Brantley S. Clark, Jr. and his wife, Lori Clark, Lori Clark Cathey and her husband, Michael Cathey, Jay Trawick and John Trawick; two step-grandchildren, Amy Griggs, Deana Johnson and her husband, David Johnson; five great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren.
