Vicki Traylor Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Traylor will be Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Enterprise Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home tonight, Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Traylor was born in Houston County on July 2, 1956. She loved animals and spending time in her garden. Her true joy came from family to whom she loved dearly. She was especially close to her grandchildren Katelyn and Morgan.
She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Joyce Blalock; brother-in-law, Billy Blalock; grandparents, William and Mary Smith, Nellie Cauley; stepmother, Emma Hataway; and best friend, Kathy Jackson.
Mrs. Traylor leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband Mark Traylor of Ashford; daughter, Leah Bradley of Ashford; stepdaughter, Leah Traylor of Ashford; mother and father, Bill and Joyce Hataway of Ashford; brother, Steven Hataway and his wife, Tammy of Ashford; brother-in-law, Steve Etheridge and his wife, Jennifer of Memphis, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Starla Etheridge of Dothan; grandchildren, Katelyn Bradley, Morgan Bradley; nephews, Jonathan Hataway and his wife, April, Chris Hataway and his wife, LeAnna; special cousin, Jackie Royal; several nieces and nephews.

Bill and Family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am not sure you will remember me, but I am Alice and W.T.'s daughter, Micki. You came by my home in Avon Park, Florida and visited with me and my grandmother, Dorthy Lassiter when she was ill. She so appreciated seeing you and I sure appreciated that you took the time to stop by. I was so sorry to hear about Vicki. I didn't know her and her family, but I wanted to let you know I would be praying for you and your family. We never understand why the ones we love are taken from us so early, but God has a plan for Vicki and says he will never put more on us than we can handle. Dear Bill & Joyce,
You are so special to me and my family. My heart is saddened to hear of Vicki's passing. I know the pain you are going through as I lost my dear husband suddenly in June. We feel more time was needed, before we let them go, but God knows the future and is in control. Vicki's work on earth was done and we don't understand now, but we will be with them some wonderful day.
My prayers and love go out to you and to the Traylor family. God promised He would not give us more than we can bare and if He did He would give us an escape..
It will be hard for a long time, just keep going to God for comfort. I am here for you, even if I am far away. You are in my heart. I love you both so much.
