Frieda May Jurgens

1930 - 2021

Frieda May (Heffley) Jurgens, 91, a lifetime resident of Williams Valley, Deer Park, Washington, was escorted into heaven by the angels to be face to face with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Nov. 28, 2021.
Frieda was born in Spokane, Washington, on May 2, 1930.
She attended school at Williams Valley School, Clayton School and graduated from Deer Park High School in 1948.
After graduating, she married the love of her life, Raymond L. Jurgens, in 1948. Raymond and Frieda started their family on the farm.
Frieda became a loving mother and mother-in-law of Linda (Jim) Bridges of Olympia, Washington, Lorrie (Don) James and Joyce (Daniel) Sims of Deer Park, Timothy (Tera) Jurgens of Newport, Washington, and Larry Jurgens of Edmonds, Washington.
She also enjoyed spending time with her 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Frieda loved being a farmer's wife and worked for the Deer Park School District as a cook for more than 30 years, retiring in 1992.
One of her greatest joys, besides her children and grandchildren, was sharing God's word through Bible school, Sunday school, Good News clubs and Bible camps, where she volunteered as a cook.
Raymond and Frieda were members of Northview Bible Church and the Williams Valley Grange. 
Frieda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond L. Jurgens; son, Gary Raymond Jurgens; parents, Charles and Esther Heffley; parent-in-laws, Ernest and Elma Jurgens; and her brother, George Heffley, along with many other loved ones.
A celebration of her life will be held at Clayton Community Church, 4494 Carlton Ave., Clayton, WA 99110, on Saturday Dec. 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. Interment will precede the services at 9 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park.
