Robert Andrew Snuggs Jr, 71, of Dundalk, died unexpectedly Friday morning, June 15, 2018.
Born November 14, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert Andrew Sr. "Herk" and Mary Helen (Barton) Snuggs. He was a graduate of Dundalk High School.
In his younger years he enjoyed gymnastics, his motorcycles and dune buggies. He was a Master Mechanic at Bethlehem Steel. He then moved to Pennsylvania and sold land in The Hideout. He then started his own business Insotherm Insulation which he owned and operated for 20 years. He was always drawn back to his home town Dundalk, MD and the Chesapeake Bay, and returned to enjoy the latter years of his life. He was amazing at fixing things. He was always fixing something for someone...lawn mowers, cars, boats, etc. And if you needed a part or tool, you could be sure he had it. Robert shared his mother's passion of growing vegetable gardens and sharing the vegetables with all. Just like his father, he was an avid fisherman. He most enjoyed being out in his father's boat cruising around the Chesapeake Bay fishing, crabbing, or just relaxing on the water. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Surviving are daughters Cindy Snuggs and companion David Doeing of Lake Ariel, PA, and Amie Wargo and husband Leonard Wargo of Lake Ariel, PA. 5 grandchildren: Kaycee Snuggs, Landon, Adysen, Rheagan and Aerrington Wargo. A great granddaughter: Kennadeigh Sabatino. His dearest friends which he considered family: Richard Lund, Thomas and Lorie Szarek, Jon Gartner.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and under the direction of Connelly Funeral Home, 7110 Sollers Point Rd., Dundalk, Md 21222.
A blessing service and celebration of life will be held privately by the family at a future time.
