Kathryn Costin Gardner
ZEBULON - Kathryn Costin Gardner, a beloved mother, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Kathryn was born on February 28, 1946, in Warsaw, North Carolina, to the late Bruce Costin and Gertrude Tucker Costin, Kathryn was one of a large and loving family. She was known for her great cooking and her gentle, loving spirit. Kathryn was also a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9810 Warsaw Auxiliary. She loved her two cats, Buttercup and Giggles, who brought her comfort and happiness.
Kathryn is survived by her devoted son, Leonard Bruce Gardner, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved their "Aunt Kitty." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Leonard Seldon Gardner Jr., her sisters, Pauline Costin, Grace Moore, and Allene DeLuca, and her brothers, Charles, Walter, Milton, Tommy, Gene, William, and Bruce Costin.
A memorial service and visitation will be held at the Warsaw United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 2pm with visitation immediately following. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Kathryn's life.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
