Our 2016 Christmas Card was returned and we knew then that Tom had probably passed beyond the veil to be with his sweetheart, Beverly. They were our "surrogate" parents/grandparents when we were serving with the USAF in England. We loved them so much and will be forever grateful for their many acts of love and kindness, towards us and our three small children. Bev made Christmas stockings that we still use & treasure today. Tom made a simple bench that he called the "gospel bench," and it has "lifted" us many times. He also shared a valuable lesson with my husband in regards to never placing ones self in a compromising situation. What wonderful examples they were. May they both R.I.P.

He was always such a great example and youth leader. He had the hearts and Minds of all around him. He touched so many lives. I will always have such fond memories of him

I recall The Harris's when the lived in the UK. Hungry or homesick missionaries were always welcome in their home. They were warm, kind, loving and truly inspiring.
Bro Harris was an amazing Gospel Doctrine teacher. He taught truth with faith and good humor while also challenging your heart and mind. Without Bro Harris' intervention late on Christmas eve 1977, my companion and I would not have had Christmas dinner the following day. I was grateful then but I am more grateful now for this kind act.
I am thankful to have known them both.
