Franklyn Neville

Franklyn Brockelhurst Neville, 96, of Tiverton, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Jean Bennett Neville for 34 years and the late Jean Grinnell Neville for 40 years.

Mr. Neville was born in Fall River, son of the late Fred and Jennie (Brockelhurst) Neville and had lived in Tiverton for all of his life. Prior to retirement, he was the owner of ACME Neville Co. a steel fabrication business in Fall River and Bay Sheet Metal of Fall River. He also built, operated and was co-owner of the Seaconnet Marine in Portsmouth, now known as Brewers Seaconnet Marina. He built and co-owned Countryview Estates in Tiverton and also co-owned Damian Associates, Raylou Realty of Tiverton and Globe Manufacturing of Fall River.

He was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserves and a member of the Board of Directors and Fleet Captain of the Tiverton Yacht Club. He was also a 50 year member of the Eureka Mason's Lodge A.F.A.M. He loved sailing, lobstering and scalloping among other hobbies.

His family meant everything to him. He was still telling them how to do things n their older years. That was Dad!!

Survivors along with his wife include his children: Lynda N. Ibbotson and her husband Bruce, Richard F. Neville and his wife Donna and Donald G. Neville; step-son: Raymond E. Johnson; 5 grandchildren: Craig N. Ibbotson, Tyler R. Neville and his wife Lauren, Caitlyn R. Neville and her husband James, Erin J. Miranda and her husband Frank and Douglas F. Neville and his wife Marlayna; along with 6 great grandchildren.

He was the father of the late Douglas F. Neville, Steven D. Neville and Robert A. Neville.

Funeral services are private.
