George Bolton Obituary
George graduated from Peck school in Barrington in 1945. He enlisted at the age of 17 to serve our country in the Navy during both WWII and the Korean War.
After his military service he graduated from the University of Rhode Island and went on to pursue a career in insurance, eventually starting his own Allstate office in Riverside R.I.
He was a member of the Masons Washington Lodge #3 in Warren R.I., and received recognition for over 65 years of service.
George was kind and caring. He was a volunteer for his community and the White Church in Barrington. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a "gift for gab". He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, loved to watch Turner Classic movies and was in several films.
George is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rose Marie as well as his son, granddaughter and great granddaughter, his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Barrington Congregational Church would greatly appreciated or a Children's charity of your choice in George's memory. I had the pleasure of working for George with my sister Susan Tremblay at Allstate briefly when mandatory auto insurance was started in RI. He was a great man to work for. My condolences to his family. RIP George.
