Jacqueline Lavin

90, of Thurston Street, Riverside, died unexpectedly at home on February 4, 2023. She was the wife of the late Carl E. Lavin.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Edward and Irene Valcourt, she lived in Riverside for 65 years.

Mrs. Lavin was a painter for the former Trifari Jewelry Mfg. before retiring 1995. She previously was a waitress at the former Carson's Lounge in Riverside.

Jacqueline was a communicant of St. Brendan Church since 1958 where she was a lecturer, Eucharistic minister, greeter and a CCD Teacher.

Jacqueline volunteered on several political campaigns and was an election poll worker. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, playing cards, scrabble and spending time with her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl A. Andrade of East Providence, Michael C. Lavin of Lynn, MA, Lisa L. DuFault of Chepachet, Amy L. Speetjens of Reston, VA, and Carl E. Lavin of Riverside; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late baby Michael Lavin and sister of the late Viola Jenkins, Doris Pageau, Pauline Catlin, Edward Valcourt, Gerald Valcourt and Dennis Valcourt.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday February 8, 2023 at 10 a.m. in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
