Jacqueline "Jackie" Piepowski (Gilmour), 75, of Warren, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Originally from Claremont, NH, Jackie made Warren her home in the early 70's where she built a life filled with love, laughter and generosity.
Jackie worked as an X-Ray technician at Bristol Medical Center for more than 30 years, where her dedication and compassion touched countless lives. Known for her quick wit and kindness, she brought warmth and humor to every room she entered. Her coworkers described her as a hummingbird – constantly in motion, darting from one task to the next, solving problems and keeping everything running smoothly.
She found so much joy in golfing -earning two hole-in-ones over the years despite her claims that she only played for the social aspect - watching the kids/grandkids play sports, and, in her younger years, hitting the slopes as an avid skier. She was a jack of all trades, from sewing to cribbage, party planning, gardening and seasonal crafting, she found ways to make life's big and little moments feel extra special. She had a talent for putting people at ease and injecting fun into the routines of daily life.
Above all, Jackie treasured her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, John; her loving son Mark (Gina), and her daughter Lauren (Cian), who will carry her strength and spirit forward. The arrival of her granddaughter Layla brought Jackie immeasurable joy; from that moment forward, her life revolved around the little girl who captured her heart completely.
She also leaves behind her sister, Rachel, her cherished bonus grandchildren - John, Dylan, Rian and Ciaran – and her lifelong best friend Carol, along with many other dear friends she made over the years at the medical center, golfing, playing cribbage and wintering in Florida. Jackie was predeceased by her sister, Joan and niece, Michelle, who were surely there to welcome her home.
Jackie's legacy is one of love, family and an unshakable spirit. Just as her love was ever present, so too will be the ache of her absence.
