John White Obituary
He was predeceased by his loving son, Christopher J. White.
A lifelong Bristol resident, he was a 1956 graduate of Colt Memorial High School.
In his younger days, he enjoyed his "Convertibles", especially his 1964 Corvette StingRay. He also enjoyed "Doo Wop" Music and dancing.
He worked at the former Bristol County Water Co. and the RI Veteran's Home, for a short time. For several years John was a member of the Bristol 4th of July Committee.
He was happiest running his Antique business, The Center Chimney on State St. in Bristol which he and his wife owned for many years.
He leaves behind 2 daughters, Laurie Sinclair (Ron) and Cheryl Velleca Vecchio (Peter) and six Grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Matt White (Sue), his Niece and Goddaughter, three Nephews and 15 Grandnieces and Nephews.
Arrangements are with Family's Choice Cremation, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren, RI, 02885. Calling hours are respectfully omitted, per John's wishes. A Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Mt. Spent many years as his neighbor on Church St. Passed a number a beverages through the shrubs on a hot summer evening as we did our lawns. Have missed John since he sold the house. God bless and rest in peace friend.

John and I go back a long way!! from the Fore & Aft to the water company to his antique business, which I used to stop and visit and he and Lee were always very gracious and kind to me! We shared a lot of laughs! They favored the Lobster Pot and I always was requested by them! They came with a smile and left even happier! Haven´t seen John in quite a while, but I miss that smile and laugh and devious look! !! Rest in peace, my friend! Your journey is done

We lived in the Benjamin Church community with John for several years. He dedicated his time to the gardening as well as his knack for making new neighbors feel like old friends. God speed John, Crowe and I will always remember you and our friendship.
