Adam Livingston Obituary

ADAM ROBERT LIVINGSTON Passed away suddenly Friday, March 12, 2004 in Burlingame, California. He was 31. Dearly beloved son of Robert Lee and Margery Cockrill Livingston; dearly beloved brother of Emily Alice Livingston; loving grandson of Fred Farnsworth Livingston, the late Olive Dunn Livingston and the late Ruth Carr and William Maupin Cockrill; dear nephew of James Allen Cockrill; and beloved husband of Grethe M. Livingston. Born April 7, 1972 in Washington D.C., Adam was a Boy Scout leader who enjoyed camping and hiking, earning his Eagle Scout award at the Vienna Presbyterian Church Troop 152 in Vienna, Virginia. A 1990 graduate of George G. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia, where he participated in wrestling, cross-country and football, he shared a prize for metallurgy at the Northern Virginia regional science fair. He was an accomplished classical pianist, winning awards in the Northern Virginia Community College high school piano competitions. He received his A.A. degree from Northern Virginia Community College in 1996 and studied music and the University of Maryland in College Park. During his short adult life, Adam co-founded several small businesses in Colorado and Nevada. He especially loved music and played beautifully. A private interment was held on March 16, 2004 at Sunset View Cemetery, El Cerrito, CA. The family plans a memorial reception. I will always remember Adam's big happy smile and his respect and politeness to others. He played the piano beautifully and has left us with happy memories of him. I am grateful for the time he was with us.
