Alberto Cuellar Obituary

ALBERTO CUELLAR SR. MAY 14, 1932-NOVEMBER 14, 2005 To our beloved husband and father, who was married to Dora Cuellar for 48 years. A cherished father of Alberto Cuellar Jr. of Fremont, David Cuellar of Livermore, Steven Cuellar of Ripon, Mark Cuellar of Brentwood, Monica Cuellar of Valencia and Laura Dawal of Brentwood. He is survived by 17 grandchildren whom he loved and cherished. Born in San Antonio, Texas to wonderful parents, Sr. Refugio Cuellar of Real Del Catorce, San Luis Potosi, Mexico and Sra. Delfina Lopez Cuellar of Saltillo, Caohuila, Mexico. He grew up with four older sisters and one younger brother. He is survived by his brother and sister, Jesse Cuellar and Dora Cuellar of San Antonio, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Airforce from 1951-55. He married Dora in 1957 and eventually made their home in Fremont in 1959 where they raised their family until 1998. They moved from Niles and have resided in Escalon since then. He was a warm and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Dad's passion in life was to share the love of Jesus with others. He had the ability to make people laugh and because of that he had many friends. He was kind and generous and always made a friend wherever he went. He made his home a welcoming place for many through the years who would consider it their second home. He truly made us better people for knowing him. Family & friends are invited to attend a 1:00pm gravesite service Thursday Nov. 17, 2005 at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 E. River Road, Escalon, CA 95320. There will be a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to Stockton Young Life, 12593 Mundy Road, Lodi, CA 95240 in his memory.

To Dora and the whole Cuellar family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I wish I was there to hug each of you. Al was your husband/father/grandfather/sibling and my friend. I will always remember him as part of a warm and loving family that I will never, ever forget. I will always remember him as a man who loved his wife so much. He thought the world of his children and grandchildren. I will remember him as a warm and generous man who was smart. He was funny and had an unforgetable great laugh. I will remember him as a kind man who loved God. He lived a full, great life and has a fantastic family. I feel so blessed to have known Al. Your all in my prayers, love Vivian.
