Anna Marie Gerletti Mar. 17, 1917 Feb. 17, 2014 Resident of Richmond Anna Marie Gerletti died peacefully on February 17, 2014, in the warmth and comfort of her home in Richmond, surrounded by her loving and caring family and her cat Chloe by her side. Born in Rockvale, Colorado on March 17, 1917, a daughter of John and Lucia Obert. Preceded in death by her beloved husband John, her high school sweetheart, whom she married in 1939. Survived by children John Jr., Donald, and Joyce Marty, son-in-law Alfred, grandchildren Gina Brisby, Lisa Gerletti, Kelly Lehman and Michelle Dopp, and many great grandchildren, nieces Betty Lewis and Marie Liss, nephews Robert and Richard Dangles, Mike and Ray Jr. Johnson. Anna and John started the Gerletti Nursery in 1940 on San Pablo Ave., El Cerrito continuing for 50 years, also the annual Christmas Tree Lot. You could find Anna in her cabin in Franks Valley, Taylorsville, hiking with her Sierra-Nevada handbook, discovering the wonders of nature. She loved to bird watch. Anna loved to sing, just days before her death her voice was heard singing the Alleluia. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, February 24 from 4-8 pm, with the Rosary starting at 7 pm, to be held at Wilson & Kratzer, 455 24th St., Richmond, CA 94804. Funeral Mass to be held the following day Tuesday, February 25 at 10 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11150 San Pablo Ave., El Cerrito, Ca.
