Resident of Walnut Creek
Beatrice Guttman passed away peacefully at home, on July 28th after a two-year battle with Ovarian Cancer. She is survived by her adoring husband , Alan, daughters, Julie Guttman, Brenda Guttman Colgate and Suzanne Guttman Healy; sons-in-law, Joe Colgate and Jack Healy granddaughters, Rachel Colgate Olson, Jacqueline Colgate Jecmen and Sarah Colgate; step-grandson, Brian Healy; and great granddaughter, Caroline Sydell Olson.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Monday, August 3rd, at 11:30 a.m., in Oakmont Mortuary's Redwood Chapel, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, CA. Burial is to follow at Oakmont Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to: Bedford Gallery, Walnut Creek, CA; Valley Arts Gallery, Walnut Creek, CA; Arts Benicia, Benicia, CA; Gallery 621, Benicia, CA; and/or Backstage and Performing Artist (BAPA), Newport Beach, CA

Thanks for our precious memories....Bea was beautiful inside and out. Our sincere condolences to Alan and all of Beas family and loved ones. She is missed though lives on in all of our hearts.

We stopped at Bea's studio many times during Arts Benicia Open Studios through the years. We always enjoyed the time we spent with her. She was generous and kind. We are lucky to have purchased one of her monoprints, "The Dreamer", currently hanging in our bedroom. It is a beautiful piece, and we will forever cherish it.

I am very sad about the passing of my dear friend Bea. To many of us artists, she was a role model of positive attitude, work and family ethics. She had a great sense of humor and would laugh easily.Her smile was bright and contagious, she had a love for people, liked to learn, share, explore. She had such a positive influence on my life as an artist and as an individual. She showed strengh and courage till the end. I will miss her more than words can express. I love you Bea <3

I became acquainted with Bea through Valley Art gallery several years ago and was immediately taken with her beautiful inner spirit, lovey smile and sense of humor. She will be missed.
