BENJAMIN C. LOPEZ Ben Lopez passed away in Oakland on November 18, 2004, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Manuela Lopez for 61 years. Loving father of Milagros L. Panelo of Oakland, Reynaldo C. Lopez of San Leandro, Romeo C. Lopez of Alameda, Griselda C. Lopez of Alameda, Manolito C. Lopez of Oakland, and Helen C. Lopez of Alameda. Grandfather of Ronald, Michael, Cristina, Rhomsen, Christopher, Christian Lopez, Rhonalyn Mitchell and Joshua Rabuco. Great-grandfather of Kevin Lopez. Ben was born in Lupao, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, on November 5, 1922. Ben was the former executive director of United Filipinos of Alameda. He was a member of the Shoreliners and the Philippine Bar Association. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services Monday, November 22, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Lake Merritt Methodist Church, 1330 Lakeshore Ave., Oakland, with Rev. Mary Elyn Bahlert officiating. Visitation Saturday, 3 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 2 to 9 p.m., at the Greer Family Mortuary, 2694 Blanding Ave., Alameda. Interment, Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.
