Carol Woodley Obituary

Carol Kingsley Woodley, 86, passed away on Sept. 7 in Danville, CA after a long battle with multiple myeloma. In her final days she was surrounded by her loving family and her devoted husband Don to whom she was married for 62 years.Carol was born and raised in Wellesley, MA. Her fondest memories of her youth were all the summers she spent at Aloha Camp in Vermont canoeing on the lake and enjoying the outdoors.Carol met her loving husband Don in high school and the two later married after she completed her bachelor's degree in Physical Education at Skidmore College. Together they raised four sons. Carol was a strong, energetic woman and a devoted mother who thrived in the chaos and adventure of raising sons. She devoted her life to her family and supported Don as they moved around the country following his career.Carol's later years were spent playing golf at Round Hill Country Club, enjoying bridge and vacationing with friends in Maui. She also made sure to share her love of Aloha Camp, sending several of her grandchildren to Vermont to make their own camp experiences that she so treasured. Carol was also a talented quilter, creating beautiful gifts for her family.Carol was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bob. She is survived by her husband Don; their children David Woodley, Doug Woodley and his wife Carrie, Jim Woodley; 8 grandchildren: Kendra, Megan, George, Matthew, Emily, James, William and David; her brother Robert Kingsley.
