Carolyn was a dear friend of mine. She and I spent many great hours laughing together. She was incrediably devoted to her Theresa, Christopher, Matthew and Bill. She was a true friend and mentored me in so many important ways. She volunteered endless hours for the sea scouts. Because of her the ship could become co-ed, and girls could cruise on the ship. There are so many fun little stories of things we did together. Here's one short story of the witty lady she was...We had a person at the sea scout parking concession that was really unhappy and screaming and carrying on one day, and as the person continued to rant and rave...Carolyn took a lifesaver out of her pocket and said, "here would you like a lifesaver, it sounds like you are having a bad day!" The person sped away, and Carolyn was just so matter of fact about it. Didn't get upset. Knew how to keep her cool. Just a small example of such a fine classy lady. I will keep her in my heart and miss her dearly. As I know her family will. We were all so blessed to have her the short time we did.
