Coralie Edwards Obituary

CORALIE MARIE "GREEN" EDWARDS November 19, 1919 - October 29, 2004 An Angel has gone home!!! Coralie Marie (Green, Leche) Edwards was one of seven children born to Clarence and Celeste Green in New Orleans, La. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy High School in New Orleans and soon afterward moved to California, where she met and married Clayton Leche. From that union a daughter was born, Gail Maria Leche. When Coralie's marriage dissolved, she made a home for Gail and commenced to raise her alone. Some years later, she met and married Edison E. Edwards, a Merchant Seaman. They remained married until his passing in 1988. Coralie leaves four brothers, Charles, Richard, Leonard and Herbert Green, her sister Juanita Green Castillo, Gail's son, Robert Harvey Jr., sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Gail Leche Harvey, her husband Edison, a a brother, Martin, sister-in-law Hilda Green and several nephews. A rosary service will be held Saturday, November 6, 12 noon at Sunset View Cemetery, Colusa and Fairmont Streets, El Cerrito, CA, (510) 525-5111. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memory of Coralie to the American Cancer Society of your choice.
