Cornelius Frydendal Obituary
November 28, 1929 - May 27, 2017
Resident of Livermore
Connie was born in Livermore, the third son of Cornelius Paulson Frydendal and Catherine Frydendal. He graduated from Livermore High in 1947, where he was Student Body President. He served in the Army, in Korea. Connie returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Margaret (Peg) Kelly, in 1953. He began working for Graham Nissen and then continued farming on his own. Connie and Peg raised one daughter and four sons. He was active in Alameda County Soil Conservation (past president); Alameda County Farm Bureau (board member); VFW Post 7625 (past Post Commander); American Legion Post 47; Foresters of America Court 77 (past grand Chief Ranger); SIRS #101. He worked for Wente Vineyards from 1975-1989. Connie enjoyed hunting, golf, traveling and checking on his cattle, sheep and vineyards.
Some of his most cherished times were family gatherings with his five children. Linda (Bruce) Olson and their three children Brandon, Jeremy and Katie + 5 grandchildren. Rich (deceased). Paul (Jayanthi) and their two children, Neil and Riya. Chuck (Corie) and their two children, Hunter and Rachelle + 1 grandchild. Mark (Carol) and their three children Eric, Kelly and Mark.
Connie and Peg were married 64 years. His brothers Mervin J. and Robert W. preceded him in death. He passed away peacefully on May 27, 2017, with his family at his side. There will be a "Celebration" of his life on Sunday June 25th at 12:30pm, at the Veterans Memorial Building 522 "L" St. Livermore, Ca 94550.
