Deborah Ann (Wright) Byrne, 78, of Bannock Ct., a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Wednesday, June 1st with her husband by her side. Deborah is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Thomas M. Byrne, her sister Susan B. Budnick of Collegeville, PA, two sons, Lawrence T. Byrne and his wife Rebecca of Framingham, MA., Michael L. Byrne of Concord, CA, her granddaughter Emelia G. Byrne whom she adored, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Louis and Virginia Wright. She graduated from Vermont College in 1965 and trained as a medical technologist at Hartford Hospital, CT then worked at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia before moving to San Francisco in 1969. She lived in San Francisco for 9 years before settling in Concord, CA with her family. She worked at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA for 35 years as the lab manager. Deborah was involved with Norwich University (Vermont College) Alumni and enjoyed attending school reunions. She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with family and friends and across the country with Tom and Mike. She was proud that she visited 48 states! She liked to read and walk daily, work on puzzles, and kept in touch with her dear friends. She most enjoyed her time in Jamestown, RI sharing memories with her granddaughter, spending time with her cousins and families being near the water. A viewing will be held Thursday June 9th, at 10 AM at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel located at 1139 Saranap Avenue, Walnut Creek.
