Lifelong Resident of Alameda
Dolores went to be with her late parents; John and Mary Hickey, sisters; Mary Druecker, Irene Hale, Kathleen Peterson, Alice Hickey, Gertrude Sanck, Jackie Williams. Dolores is survived by many loving loving relatives and friends.
The Hickey family has been in Alameda since the late 1800's. Dolores was very involved with her family, community and friends, she hosted many of the functions in her own home, she always made everyone feel welcomed. After a long career with Del Monte, Dolores retired in the 1980's, she then began working at the St Joseph parish in Alameda. Dolores was highly involved in a variety of Organizations; YLI, Alameda Hospitality, Alameda Welfare Council, Mastick Senior Center, St Joseph Parish and St Joseph schools. Dolores was an alumnus of St Joseph Grammar School and St Joseph Notre Dame High School. Not enough can be said or written about the many things Dolores has done for others. "Do Do" You will be missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend Vigil services Monday April 4, 2016 at 7:00pm and the Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10:00am all services will be held at St. Josephs Basilica, 1109 Chestnut Street, Alameda. Private interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
In Lieu of flowers her family prefers that memorial contributions be made in her name to: St Joseph Grammar School 1910 San Antonio Ave., Alameda, CA 94501 or St Joseph High Notre Dame High School 1011 Chestnut St., Alameda, CA 94501.
