DORIS BERGSTROM Obituary

Doris "MaMa" Bergstrom Feb. 12, 1922 - Jan. 31, 2010 Resident of Alameda Doris Bergstrom passed away on Sunday in Alameda where she lived for more than 50 of her 87 years. Doris worked as a nurse in Labor & Delivery at Alameda Hospital. She spent her life taking care of others and was considered a lifelong friend by many. Her passion in life was sharing her love, laughter, kindness and generosity as well as her joyful smile. Doris is survived by her son, Bob Ford, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and hundreds of others that became part of her family through her never ending love for all people. Words could never express the beauty and kindness she possessed and she will be greatly missed. The funeral will be held at Greer Family Mortuary at 2694 Blanding in Alameda at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4th with a burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Oakmont Memorial in Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Meals on Wheels by going to the following website at http://www.meals-on-wheels.org/donate/
