Edward Stewart Obituary

In Loving Memory of Edward A. Stewart 1957 - 2005 Edward Stewart passed away with a smile on his face in his Danville home on February 1, 2005. The much beloved husband of Karen, loving father and stepfather to Teresa, Brian, Michael, Kaity and Ryder, dearly loved son of JoAnne and brother of Bobby and Randy; Ed lived out his 47 years with joy. A native of San Francisco, Ed attended Sacred Heart High School and graduated to New Mexico Military Academy. In his short but fully lived life, Ed most loved his children, stepchildren, family and friends. His other passions included driving, computers (every aspect!), 49ers, SF Giants, the great outdoors (especially Yosemite), and a well-poured Guinness. Above all, his passion for our Lord, Christ Jesus. A Memorial Service will be held at San Ramon Valley Christian Fellowship, 12700 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon, this Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to San Ramon Valley Christian Fellowship in furthering the great works of Christ.

I thank you for everything you've ever done for me. You were the only father I've ever known. You taught me morales and pushed me toward goals I never thought I could reach. You welcomed me with open hands and took me under your wing. You did so much for me, I couldn't begin to explain. You showed me love and care I didn't know existed. My heart aches now that your not with us. I love you from the bottom of my heart and will see you again oneday in Heaven.

Your son,

Mike

Ed,

I want to thank you for raising such as wonderful young lady, Teresa. She is the Director of Youth Ministries were I am the Senior Pastor at Aptos Christian Fellowship, and is doing a great job! I know you were very proud of her on the last Sunday of your life when you heard Teresa bring the main sermon at her church. Didn't she do great! I want you also to know that she has been a great student of mine at Bethany College where she is majoring in ministerial studies. We love Teresa very much, and promise to you that Peggy and I will do our best to look after her as if she was our own daughter now that you are gone.

With Kind Regards,

Dr. Jimmie and Peggy Brewer

Ed and I worked together for a some great years at Pacific Bell. People use to see me always messing around with Ed’s desk. I got into the habit of turning his things over, things like his PC, all of his paperwork. I even took all of dry boards off the walls and hung them upside down once. Sometimes others would see me and probably wonder why was I picking on this mellow guy all the time. What people didn’t know was that his started the whole thing. When Ed and I stared working together we shared office space with two other friends and I sat with my back to Ed in this office. My phone would ring a lot during the course of a workday. Quite often I would answer the phone and it would be dial tone. This went on for months. It got to the point where I started trying to trouble shoot the problem. It was even a topic in the office for me because it was driving me nuts. Then one day months after it started. It happened at least five or six times in a short period. Then all of a sudden I hear Ed just laughing like crazy behind me. It was him all the time; he just couldn’t control himself anymore and lost it. I’m going to miss you Ed.

Tom, Jennifer, Jamie, Tommy and I have fond memories of Ed as our children were growing up. He was always quick to volunteer at school and was a great help as a JFL football coach. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
