I was watching Lockup..and saw him .. something about him made me say a prayer that he was doing well in life ..I hadn't gotten to the end of the show when I decided to Google him and see how he was doing now.
I was so upset to see he had passed.He seemed like such a well grounded young man even after all he had been through in his short life

You were too young to leave this earth, but you fulfilled your purpose, and your higher power felt it was your time to be rewarded with eternal rest. After seeing the Lockup episode in which he features, you can tell that Ezekiel is actually a caring and loving soul.
It is truely sad that his life got ended at the moment he was changing his life for the better. Were the surroundings more favorable - i.e. a neighborhood without gangs and drugs - he for sure would have been a great dad, great family man and a great contributor to society.

After watching the episode of him and his brother , I was truly heartbroken to see that his life was taken. I'm glad the camera crew was there and able to capture that small piece of his life on camera for his son to eventually watch and see how much his father loved him already , and how inspiring this young man was. He clearly touched many hearts globally including myself. I sincerely send my love and hope to this young man's Brother , Son , and loved ones.. you all will be in my prayers. R.i.p Ezekiel.

Like many others I saw Ezekiel's story on Netflix. I was genuinely devastated to see that he had passed away. I wish that he would have been able to live out his dreams. So sorry to his family for their loss and I hope that Gabriel is doing well. Rest in Peace Ezekiel, you touched many people.

I watched this inspiring young man just last night on Netflix. Something about him tugged at my heartstrings. I was so so saddened at the end to learn he had been killed and feel genuine devastation and shock at this news. More sad that he never had the chance to meet his son. He would have been an amazing daddy.
RIP Ezekiel and I hope your family find comfort in knowing how many peoples lives you touched. :(

This young man conducted himself brilliantly on the show and I just know he would have been an amazing daddy to his son.

Like many others on here I came across Ezekiels story on Netflix. I couldn't believe when I saw that he had passed. I could tell he was a real dude who deserved better. It saddens me to see that he never got to meet his son. I hope his family can read this and know the impact he's had on so many. Watching him has taught me to appreciate my daughter somehow even more than I did before. I hope his legacy lives on. RIP.

I want to send my condolences to Ezekiel's family. he seemed to be such a genuine human being and it was heart breaking to know he did not get to know his son and have the chance to be the man he was meant to be. I too just learned of Ezekiel and he touched my soul as well as many others. I have two boys just like Ezekiel and Gabriel. My boys are in college now and separated and I see how happy they are to see each other every time they do! Ezekiel was an amazing person and that showed in just one episode so I can imagine what it would have been like to know him on a more personal level. Even though it has been years I am sure you all still grieve over the loss of him! May God continue to watch over his wife son brother and family. May God bless you all! Sleep in peace Ezekiel!!

My heart broke today when I found out Ezekiel had passed away. I was just watching Netflix and his interviews touched something in me, that I paused the episode and Googled him. When the results came up my heart broke. I started crying and saying no no no it can't be. It was. Ezekiel had a presence about him that was too good for this world. To his wife Amber and his son, I am so sorry for your loss. To Gabriel, I can't imagine how you feel. I equate it to feeling like you are not whole, a part of you is missing. My heart breaks for you, please know Ezekiel has had a profound impact on so many people like me. I pray God comforts you and provides you with your needs. Rest in peace Ezekiel.

Ezekiel and Gabriel had a hard life and such a wonderful bond that is hard to find. It broke my heart whenever I found out what happened. I felt like Ezekiel couldve done all the great things he had set in his mind. I pray Gabriel and the rest of Ezekiels family are doing well, especially his blessing that was going to change his life. Netflix brought me to Ezekiels story. I ended the episode with a broken heart full of disbelief. I was instantly taken by him. His character was so promising and showed so much love, bravery, and intelligence. He deserved a chance to fulfill his dreams. Rest assured, his and his brothers story has touched lives.

I feel incredibly horrible for his brother Gabriel and for Ezekiel. He didnt deserve to go so soon. I didnt even know him and I cant stop crying. I hope his brother is hanging in there and Im not a big believer but I truly hope one day they will see each other again. So sad :(
