Florencio Peralta Obituary

FLORENCIO SALAZAR PERALTA February 23, 1919 - May 27, 2006 Florencio was born in La Loma, Quezon City, Philippines on February 23, 1919. He was the son of Luis Peralta and Basilisa Salazar. He grew up and spent his teenage years in La Loma. He finished his Associate Degree of Secretarial at the Philippine College of Commerce. He had his Cursillo in Cabuyao, Laguna and was still an active member of the Filipino Cursillo movement at the time of his death. He joined the Carmelite Order of the Divine Infant Jesus in 1984 and was also one of the Elders in the Charismatic Movement at St. Mary's Church in Oakland. He is survived by his wife, Lorenza and four children: Purita, Dory, Danilo and Luz along with three sons-in-law: Dan Hajjar, Ramon Briones, Eddie Musngi and daughter-in-law Maila Clemente. He had 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A viewing for friends and family will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Albert Brown Mortuary, Oakland. A celebration of Florencio's life will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2006, 10 am., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11150 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, CA 94560. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2560 Church Lane, San Pablo, CA 94806.
