Francis Milton Howe

FRANCIS MILTON HOWE February 21, 1920 - August 25, 2005 Francis Milton Howe of Carmel, CA, passed away Thursday, August 25 2005, after being in the excellent care of Karen Manteg-Crossman at Carmel Terrace, where he spent his final seven and one half years. Frank Howe was born in Paradise, CA to Milton Howe and Anne Riehr Howe. He graduated from the University of Santa Clara with a degree in electrical engineering, and served as a naval officer in WWII. Frank founded Fremont Electric Supply Company, Howe-Yin Research, and Industrial Electric, Mfg., Inc. located in Mission San Jose, CA, the latter in business for 54 years. Frank was preceded in death by his only brother, John Howe. Francis is survived by his wife Charlene B. Howe of 35 years. He was the beloved father of seven children, Anne Howe of San Jose, CA, John Howe of Lubbock, TX and Joseph Howe also of California, and James Emerson of Carmel, CA, Nancy Emerson Borne of Boulder, CO, Susan Emerson of Weaverville, CA and Joan Emerson of Bend, OR. Ten grandchildren carry forth the memory of the grandfather they loved. He is also survived by his first wife of 27 years, Julianne McDonald Howe. A private family service was held at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel in Santa Cruz, CA on Saturday, August 27th, arranged by The Paul Mortuary of Monterey, CA.
