I am so sorry to read of the loss of Mr Cavoto. I had the privilege and honor to play in many of his musical groups 1960-65 while attending Clayton Valley High School. When asked about a favorite teacher or one who had the biggest effect in my educational career, it was Frank Cavoto. I played the trombone in Concert band, jazz band, dance and spirit bands. Such fond memories and such valuable life lessons learned through his teaching and direction! My deep condolences to the family, this world has lost a bright note

Frank was my landlord at the house in Forestville. I have been living here for ten years, and that's the longest I've ever lived in one place. I grew to love this home, that Frank built with his Father and family, I also grew quite fond of Frank over the years. I will miss talking with him, and I offer my deepest sympathies to the rest of the family. God Bless. Derek

Mr. Cavoto was the orchestra teacher at Clayton Valley High School when I was a student. I played the viola, and graduated in 1964. He was an excellent teacher, and a sweet, kind man.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Mr. Cavoto was a favorite teacher as the Music Director at Clayton Valley High School. I have very fond memories of my two years in 1965-66 while playing trombone. His bands were consistently excelled; among the finest in the east bay area. His positive influence has stayed with me for a lifetime.

Frank touched me deeply when he approached me to be; The Voice, for The Diablo Regional Concert Band. He was sure it was a position for me. Me, not so sure. For three years I full filled the role; as The Voice. Frank brought out the best in all he met. If you knew Frank, you loved him. Truly a man to admire. Will miss you; so glad we had long conversation a few months back. RIP dear one.
