Gary Looney Obituary

Gary Arnold Looney
Sept. 22, 1937 - Jan. 23, 2002
A long time resident of Pittsburg, Calif., Gary spent most his adult life in Pittsburg.
He worked with his Grandfather Clinton Parker repairing wash machines and dryers, until he went into the service, entering both the Navy and the Airforce. He then went to work for Sears & Roebuck for 10 years and then worked for Mt. Diablo School District for 20 years, retiring in 1999. Gary loved to bowl, and he bowled a 300 game in March 1994. He loved to fish and camp. He was also very active in his grandchildren's baseball and other sports. He was well known for his love of family and friends, he leaves a brother, Bill Looney, a sister Mary Linda Zarcone, a sister Sally Looney, nieces and nephews, 3 step children, Ernie Parrish of Martinez, Hal Parrish of Antioch and Elsa Parrish Hurd of Antioch, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is missed very much by his family and friends.
Gary passed away in Las Vegas after a short illness Jan. 23, 2002.
What's that you say,
It's been a year since
you've gone away,
We see your picture
and we let out a sigh
We hardly had time to say good-bye.
We say farewell,
and we are sad, but
We want the world to know,
You were a heck of a Dad,
We love you, and miss you,
'Our Dad'
