Ida Salisbury Obituary

Ida Salisbury Former resident of Walnut Creek Ida Salisbury, a resident of Walnut Creek, California for 35 years and Angels Camp, California for the last 8 years, passed away at her home on Monday, May 15, 2006 at the young age of 67. Ida was born December, 3, 1938 in Medford, Massachusetts to Harry & Mary Settipane and was one of 4 children. She is survived by her sisters, Frances and Mary Lou, and her brother, Lucien, who still live on the East Coast. Ida moved west in 1948 and attended Twain Harte grammar school, and Brett Harte High School. After high school, Ida married her high school sweetheart, Jim Salisbury, whom she cherished and loved for 48 years. She was the loving mother of Karen Britz and Jim Salisbury, and devoted grandmother of Michael Britz, Christina Britz, Tanner Salisbury and Chase Salisbury. Ida was always a great friend and she gave many hours of her time to charities and organizations. The most recent organization she was involved with was the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF). Ida was a devout Catholic and lived her life accordingly. Ida loved her family and friends and would always be there in the time of need. Ida Salisbury will be dearly missed by all. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Rosary on Wednesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 820 S. Main St., Angels Camp, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Thursday, May 18 at noon, followed by a reception. Loving donations in memory of Ida should be sent to Visiting Nurses Association, P.O. Box 4805, Sonora, CA, 95370.
