JAMES RICHARD GOAD September 6, 1948 - April 7, 2004 Was born one September 6, 1948 in Portsmouth, OH, he died in Newark, CA on April 7, 2004 at the age of 55. He was survived by his two children, Carissa Anne who is married to Jerome McConkey in Kennesaw, GA and James Nathaniel who lives in Newark, CA., His brothers, Larry Allen with wife, Dorothy and their children, Tristan Michael and Sean Thomas and brother, David Paul with wife, Kimberly and their children, Seth and Brittany in Washington, DC. His parents, Clarence and Darlene live in Portsmouth, OH where he will rest in his family plot. He was a Vietnam Veteran and worked at Novazone in Livermore. He had a zest for life and enjoyed being with family and friends. He was active in the Newark Soccer League as a coach for many years and made friends easily on his frequent trips around the U.S. and abroad. He enjoyed books, movies and vacationing, and spending time with his family. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward at 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. with a service at 4 p.m.
