James Hagopian Obituary

James Paul Hagopian July 9 1954 - September 10, 2004 Local Danville resident Jim Hagopian passed away September 10 at his home. Jim was 50 years old. He is well known in Danville and the surrounding region for his landscape artistry he created through his business, Jim Hagopian Landscaping. Jim was a local 1972 graduate of Monte Vista High School and graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Business. Jim's passion for life was expressed in his work and in his enjoyment for skiing, fishing, and traveling. He will be forever appreciated for his unique designs that changed many landscapes in this region, but his distinctive laugh, explosive energy, and unlimited generosity will always be remembered by those who knew him. He is honored and loved by his family, Scott Turner, his brother, John and his wife, Pam Hagopian, sisters, Sandy Hagopian, Sherry and her husband John Holland, and Suzette Moretinni, his mother, Constance Hagopian, and nephews, JJ, Jess, Danny, and Michael and nieces, Jennifer and Mindy. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1885 Oak Park Blvd., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 or call directly 1-800-227-2345. The entire Hagopian family is grateful to the Red Cross for the donation of blood provided to Jim in his time of need and encourages those who can to donate for others.

I worked for Jim in the mid 80's off and on until the early 90's. I have worked for alot of different people since I worked for Jim and I must say, he was one of a kind. Jim was an extremely hard working man and a excellent landscaper. Working for Jim was an experience I will never forget. He definiatly taught me the value of hard work. Because of the knowledge I learned from him I am still in the comnstruction business today. I was sad to hear what happened to Jim and I didnt realize he was ill. My condolences to Scott and the rest of his family.

Jim has worked on my landscaping in

92, 93, 97,01 and most recently completed a project on 03/04. During that project I found out about his illness, the same illness that my

husband passed away from at 49 over

14 years ago. My heart aches to hear this news and Jim will be added to my prayers. I will always

smile when I look at my beautiful landscaping and know he has left a piece of his talent with me.
