John Cambra Obituary

John E. Cambra Nov. 4, 1947 - June 11, 2010 Former Resident of Concord With family by his side, John went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2010. He was born on November 4, 1947 in Pittsburg, CA. He married his high school sweetheart "Love" Judy Holloway in 1967. John was a loving and dedicated husband, dad, brother, grandfather, uncle, friend, and mentor to many. He spent the last 20 years as a Cazadero Baptist Camp Manager, where he showcased his talents in creating a wonderland for children and campers. Throughout his life, John worked very hard to provide for his family. He never wanted anyone to go without. He was often the first person to help someone in need. He enjoyed traveling, car shows with his son Jason, time with family, practical jokes, and most of all, time with his grandchildren, his pride and joy. John is survived by his wife Judy; children Janeen (husband Blaine), Jeff (wife Jody), Jason (wife Kristine); grandchildren CJ, Jake, Jeffery, Jenna, Isabelle, Julian; brother Bill; sister Ruthann; his niece, nephews, cousins, best friend Dale Baptist, and Josh Rogers who was like a son to him. His laugh, warm heart, talents, and love for his family and the Lord will be missed so much. A private burial will be held. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Children's Hospital Foundation in Oakland, In Memory of John Cambra, P.O. Box 2054 Oakland, CA 94604-2054 or on line at www.chofoundation.org A Celebration of Life in Honor of John will be held on June 27th from 1 to 4pm at Cazadero Baptist Camp 5990 Cazadero Highway, Cazadero, CA 95421. Donations may also be given to the camp to finish John's Dreams.

You know how much I loved John, appreciated your whole family, and Praise God for all the wonderful things you did for the camp.
