Joyce LaRose Sutliff Haentjens, a 40 year resident of Alamo, California, passed away at the age of 89. She was married to Jef J. Haentjens for 41 years, who passed in 1993. Joyce had a Son, Paul C. Haentjens who died at birth in 1956. She is survived by her Daughter, Julie C. Ornelas and Son-in-Law Dan Ornelas of Loomis, California, her Grandchildren, Christina Janes and Nick Ornelas and their spouses Nick and Andrea, and two Great-Grandchildren, Jake and Lola.
Joyce was born and raised in Richmond, California, a graduate of Richmond High School, a Dental Assistant, and later a Homemaker. She was a philanthropist and an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She loved traveling the world with her Husband, spending time with her family and her animals, and reading a good book with a cup of tea.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the ASPCA.
Private Burial will be held Friday, November 30th at Oakmont Memorial Park with a Celebration of Life to be held in the New Year.
