Keith Anthony Lucas

KEITH ANTHONY LUCAS March 28, 1939 - June 30, 2002 Entered peacefully into rest after an extended illness, at age 63. A lifetime resident of Hayward and Castro Valley. Keith is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years Catherine; son David; daughter-in-law Tracey and his three grandchildren: Forrest, Akemi and Colter. He is also survived by his uncles Ruel and Ray Lucas; aunts Betty Lucas and Clara Lamb, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws who shared in the celebration of Keith's life. Upon graduation from Hayward High School, Keith joined his father and uncles at Standard Freight Truck Lines of San Leandro. Later in his career he worked as a shipfitter and he was a member of Boilmakers Local #549. Keith finished his career with enterprise Rent-A-Car. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Wednesday, July 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3433 Somerset Avenue, Castro Valley where Keith was an active parishioner. Interment will be Friday, July 5th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward. Visiting hours at the mortuary will be today, Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 in Keith's memory will be appreciated.
