Kendrick SCOFIELD

Kendrick L. Scofield Resident of Pleasant Hill Ken Scofield passed away on May 26th after a short illness. He is survived by his sons Richard of Farmington, NM and Douglas of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Beverly Cullen of Chico, CA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grand-children. Ken was born in Miller, SD on July 17, 1920. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines, finding time in the summers to play sax in the Laurence Welk Band. Ken married Anne Cook of Cottonwood, SD in 1942, enjoying 64 years of life together. He served his country in WWII, both in the Army and as an Allis-Chalmers engineer working on top-secret government projects. A 52 year resident of Pleasant Hill, Ken founded two companies and participated in many organizations that contributed to the development of the area. His passions were golf, playing daily with his buddies at Pine Meadows Golf Course and twice weekly luncheons with a group of pilots and fellow long-time residents to "Solve the Problems of the Day". He will be sorely missed by all. Graveside services will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette on Friday, June 6th at 11am.
