Maria T. DaCosta
December 29, 1942 - August 2, 2021
Resident of Oakland
Maria Terezinha Freitas Monteiro DaCosta passed away August 1st 2021 at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, surrounded by her loving family. Teresa was born on November 12th 1942 in Funchal Madeira to Roberto and Amelia de Freitas. She is the youngest of her only sibling, Guida Gouveia. Teresa loved her family more then anything, this included her dogs. She was the true definition of what it meant to live life to its fullest. There was not a single day that you did not see her with a smile and warm welcome followed by tons of kisses. She loved dancing and having or attending gatherings that included her dearest friends and family with good food and wine. She was proud of her Portuguese heritage. Teresa is survived by her sister Guida Gouveia, daughter Alexis DaCosta son, Bobby and daughter-in-law Keanya DaCosta, grandson, Justin Jacome, granddaughter Julia Jacome and many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. She is preceded in death by the love of her life Augusto Joao (John) DaCosta, her parents Roberto and Amelia de Freitas, her sister-in-laws, Filomena Cunha, Celina Fernandes, Fernanda DaCosta , Zita Abreu and brother-in-law, Jose DaCosta.
