Marie Taylor Obituary

Marie H. Taylor
Marie H. Taylor was born May 1, 1921 in Lufkin Texas. She entered into rest August 13, 2002 at Doctor's Medical Center in San Pablo. She was 81 years of age. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Edgar Taylor. A resident of Richmond for the past 58 years, Marie was an active member of the North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond and Senior Choir. She was also a standing member of the N.A.A.C.P and the Iron Triangle. Marie retired after 22 years with Del Monte Cannery. Marie enjoyed traveling, going out to eat and especially loved working in her rose garden. She is survived by her sister, Ida Vivian Hannon; Aunt, Hattie Mae Baltrip, both of Oakland, 4 sister's-in-law Nellie Hannon of Emeryville, Donice Hannon of Richmond, Hazel Hannon, of Texas, Bessie Hannon of Louisiana and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2002 at the North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church, Richmond. Burial to follow at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Richmond.
Visitation from 2:00 - 6:00 and Quiet Hour from 4:00 - 6:00 Sunday, August 18, 2002 at Wilson & Kratzer Mortuaries, Civic Center Chapel, 455 24th Street, Richmond.
