Mario,

Your kind smile and caring words will be missed by all who knew you. I will never forget when you told me,
“You're a good man brother, it's a blessing to know you.” Actually, the blessing was all mine. I wish I could have known you longer.

Descansa en paz mi hermano porque espero jugar contigo otra vez.....

We come together to give thanks for your kindness your love your wisdom and of course your drumming. You are very special to me and to all that had an opportunity to have met you. I'll never forget all the times we shared just hanging out at a club or a family gathering or drumming. You gave me the strength to pick up my drums again. You helped me see more clearly and you made me fall in love with music again. You will always be a part of me. Thanks Cos….

Dearest Mario,
You were and still ARE a light to everyone that knew you. Even though you're not here with us in a form that we can see, you are in our hearts. I never heard you speak ill of another person, you always had a smile and a positive attitude. The first time I met you, I saw a light in your eyes and knew instantly that I was in the presence of an angel in disguise. Your gentle sensitivity towards others was filled to the brim with pure goodness that uplifted my spirit and that made me feel clean inside each time we hung out together. You were/are one of the kindest people that I've known. I believe in your passing, you will spread even more love and caring amongst us all and let us know that when it is our time to join you, we shall know it is safe to do so.

Uncle Mario,
Since I can remember you have always been there for me.
You have been such in inspiration in my life.
I have so many wonderful memories of you I will always cherish.
I see you in my earliest memories playing congas at grandma & grandpa Soares'
Playing music in the rumpus room and watching you all dance long into the nights.
Looking for Easter Eggs in our backyard - I remember crying because I couldn't find any and you helped me get some. I think you took them from Benny & Manuel…lol
But, none the less you made sure I wasn't left out. Even as a teenager you & Auntie Bev have always made me feel welcomed in your life and home. You were the dad I never had. How loving it was for you to include me. I will always be grateful.
We are completely honored and blessed to have had you in our lives.

You will always be carried in our hearts.
We love and miss you.

Dearest Mario,

I wish I would have talked with you one last time. I meant to call you just the other day, to tell you and Beverly, you were both in my thoughts and prayers, and to tell you thank you for the wonderful DVD you gave us. Thank you so much for that, it is excellent!

I will always treasure the times and memories I shared with you. You have been such an inspiration in my life, and taught me so much.

Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and my family, I will forever be grateful.

There is so much I have to say about you, but I will try and make it short. This is you in my mind:

Great Laugh,
One Of A Kind,
Wonderful Husband, Father & Friend,
Gentle Giant,
Wise Counselor,
Beautiful Smile,
An Example,
Loving,
A Blessing,
Talented Musician,
Patient,
Loved Tapping On The Dashboard While Driving, Pretending You Were Playing The Congas,
and last, but most importantly,
You Had A Heart For Jesus!

I will surely miss you with heartfelt sadness . . . . but happily anticipate seeing, and talking with you again, in our new life which will be for eternity.

Forever Grateful,
Marisia Diaz
