I just learned today of Brother Andersen's passing, and extend my deepest sympathy to Sister Andersen and their family. As a freind of Lisa's, I have fond memories of time spent in their home on Foothill Road in Pleasanton. Theirs was always a home where I felt embraced by a spirit of love. Thank you to all the Andersens for the impact you've had on the lives of so many.

I have many fond memories of Brother Andersen. I grew up as a youth in the Pleasanton area, and was always welcome in their home, where sweet spirit always was present. He always greeted me with a warm smile and kind words, he is truely one of the kindest people I have ever known, as well as his dear wife.

I have known President and Sister Andersen since 1973. They are wonderful people and I have always enjoyed their kindness and wisdom. They both had a positive impact in my life, and I will always treasure my association with them and their family.. Mark will be missed by all who knew him. He truly was a gentle giant, and had a powerful impact on many lives.

Pres. Andersen was the name I fondly remember him by. The picture shows his personality so well. I always remember how sweet he was to all ages and gave everyone a smile. He noticed everyone. A true disciple of Christ. Thank you to the family for sharing him with the rest of us. Bless you.

We have had the privilege of knowing the Andersens for many years. They have always been a great example of family devotion. We remember the wonderful stories Mark told when he would speak as our stake president. He was truly a gentleman and a gentle man and we have always enjoyed his kindness and wonderful smile. He will be missed.

Mark was a remarkable man for the short time that I was able to get to know him and his family. Mark would put on a happy face even in the last day's, he would always tell joke's or make you laugh in some way or another. What I will miss most about our dearest Mark will be his outlook on life, and his love for his family and for those around him.
He will be Greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Best of wishes.
Love you guys.

A gentle giant has left this earth - one of the very best. I have such marvelous memories of Mark and Joyce and love them both so very much. I was thrilled when Mark performed the sealing for David and Kirsti McCleary in the Oakland Temple - I have been in their home so many times and always felt a beautiful spirit there. They were my mentors and gave me with such wise guidance as Bill and I struggled to be good parents...I wanted to be just like them!
Much love....Jane McCleary Sumner
