Mary Aires Obituary

MARY C. AIRES Died Saturday, March 9, 2002 at the age of 81 in San Leandro, California. Born June 15, 1920 in Lowell, Mass., raised in Calheta, Madeira. Beloved wife of the late John Aires. She was preceded in death by her son, Manuel C. Aires. Loving mother of Mary Leanos and son-in-law Luis A. Leanos. Devoted grandmother to Manuel, Daniel, Michael, Louie, Julie and John Leanos. Survived by a brother, Tony Costa of N.Y., nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and cousins. She enjoyed going to church, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and we will love and cherish her always. Friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral Wednesday, March 13, 2002 from SANTOS-ROBINSON MORTUARY, 160 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro at 10:00 A.M. thence to St. Leander Church for a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 10:30 A.M. Burial following, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Vigil Service, Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. at the mortuary. Visitation begins Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. to 8:30 P.M.
