Matthew Pelley Obituary

MATTHEW "MATT" ANDREW PELLEY Born November 19, 1983 in San Leandro, passed away at home in San Ramon, July 1, 2003 of cancer. He was 19 years old. A 2002 graduate of California High, a leader with "Youth to Youth" Teen Drug & Alcohol Prevention Program, a drummer, a mechanic and an aspiring master mechanic. His hobby was classic automobile restoration. Survived by his parents, Todd and Verla Pelley of San Ramon, sisters, Julie Pelley of Oakland and April Pelley of Willow, Alaska. Brothers, Scott Pelley of San Jose and Todd E. Pelley of Upper Lake. Grandmother, Eugenia and husband, Mate Marlais both of Castro Valley, grandfather, Edward F. Pelley and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Mass, Celebration of his life, will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in San Ramon on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Donations preferred to either the American Cancer Society or to the St. Rose Hospital Foundation, 27200 Calaroga Ave., Hayward, CA 94545.
