Mike Anselmo Obituary
January 20, 1930 ~ December 31,2017
Resident Of Martinez
Mike was born in Columbia, Utah, moved to Martinez in 1945 and graduated from Alhambra High School in 1948. Mike served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired from Caltrans after 30 years as a Highway Engineer. He played a mean Tenor Sax in the "Mike Anselmo Trio" and filled many dance halls with music. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Roseanne, of 62 years; children Michael Anselmo (Kathy), Mary Curtis (Scott) and grandchildren Ericka Hickle (Colin), Derek Nelson and Megan Keith, and one great-grandchild Wyatt Hickle. He is also survived by his loving sister Betty Bianco along with many nieces and nephews and his two fuzzy four-legged girls Sophia and Lucia. Mike was proceeded in death by his parents, Mike and Mary Anselmo, brother Joe Anselmo, sisters Rose Adamo, Ann Daley and Joann Aiello. Mike's wonderful silly jokes, constant fibbing, and driving advice "No speeding, no tailgating" will be remembered in our hearts and dearly missed. Friends & Family are invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday January 4th from 4~8 PM with Vigil Service at 7:00 PM, Prayer service will be held on Friday January 5th at 11:00 AM all at Connolly & Taylor Chapel , Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery .

Always great, fun and loving memories of Mike. Pulling a $1 out of his shirt pocket if you paid him a compliment was classic. Love you Mike and may your kind soul rest in peace forever. Deepest sympathies to Roseanne, Michael and Mary and the whole family. Manuel and I love you all.

My Uncle Mike was a larger than life person, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. We shared many conversations and phone calls over the years, and I will treasure those. I always told him how he reminded me of Cary Grant, and every time I said that, he would give me a dollar. He had a wonderful sense of humor and his smile could light up a room. If you knew him, you were very lucky.
