Castro Valley
Mike passed peacefully at home. Preceded in death by his parents, Tony Sladoljev and Danica Poljicak and his brother's John and Frank Slader. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. An Oakland Tech High School graduate. A professional barber for 40 yrs, owned shops in Niles and Hayward, Ca. A loyal Teamsters Local 70 member with tremendous work ethics. A health, wellness and fitness expert in meditation, weightlifting and boxing. An avid sportsman and outdoorsman, enjoyed archery hunting and fishing. He loved making his own wine and working in his full garden. He was proud of his Croatian heritage. Above all, Mike was a man of faith, a Godly man and will be remembered for his love and endless devotion to family. His legacy will span ages, as the memories cherished will be passed through generations to come. A private Family Service will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers suggest American Red Cross Blood Donation.
