Peter Varick Albrink

PETER VARICK ALBRINK 47, died Friday, March 14, at his home in Berkeley, CA, of complications of a brain tumor. He was cared for by his loving wife, Sherry, at home with hospice support, during the last months of his life. He faced these difficulties with dignity and good humor. He grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, and attended Morgantown High School where he was president of his junior class. He earned his BA at Carleton College (Class of '77), and later studied at Louisville Center for Photographic Studies, and Control Data Institute. He was a kind-hearted man whose interests included writing, photography and music. He is survived by his wife, Sherry, and their son, Nathan (5), his mother, Margaret and his brothers, Rick and Jon (Albrinks all). He will be remembered by many relatives and friends who loved him dearly, and will miss him. A photography prize is being established in his name. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 22 at the Northbrae Community Church, 941 The Alameda, in Berkeley.
